Here are some of the other things I was able to do!

The Warren H. Timmerman Chartiable Trust is local grant that St. Anthony has the opportunity to apply for each year. This year St. Anthony applied for this grant to support the Food and Nutrition department and their efforts to purchase a new freezer. I had the opportunity to fill in the application, write the cover letter and the grant itself! 

The St. Anthony Mini Bus Fundraiser held multiple events in effort to raise money for the Nursing Home so they can purchase a mini bus. I was able to be on this committee which allowed me to plan events like the car wash, a cookie sale and a duck flyer. I was able to create social media content for these events! Below is the flyer for the car wash that I created. 

I was approached by some of the physical therapists at St. Anthony to see if I could create a brochure for new patients that are in need of Pelvic Floor Therapy!

St. Anthony President and CEO, Allen Anderson, approached me to help write a letter of support that he could send in support of the Carroll Chamber of Commerce. 

St. Anthony partnered with Country Stores of Iowa and released a St. Anthony Pride Pump where people can go to get gas and a portion of every sale goes back to the hospital. I was able to write a press release that was featured in the local newspaper! 

Each year the St. Anthony Foundation awards young learners a scholarship to help support them as they work and join the health care field. This year I was able to attend this event, take pictures, and write a press release that was sent to area news leaders. 

I was able to create bios for our Intern Focuses that were posted twice a week on the St. Anthony Facebook page! 

StAR is a employee recognition program that St. Anthony has to highlight patient experiences with the expectational staff. I was able to send our patient brochures and create social media graphics that were posted every Monday. 

On July 13, 2023, Becker's Hospital Review released the latest Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems. St. Anthony was one of 16 hospitals to receive a 5 star rating for nurse communication. I was able to create a Facebook post as well as a news release that was sent out to local newspapers. 

The St. Anthony Scrubs Camp is a hands-on healthcare exploration workshop that was held on July 28th. I was able to make the flyer for this camp as well as promoting it on the St. Anthony Facebook page. 

The St. Anthony Mini Bus Fundraiser committee put together a Lucky Duck Drawing event to help raise money to purchase a mini bus for the St. Anthony Nursing Home. This event allowed members from the community purchase rubber ducks that were put into a drawing. Whoever's duck was drawn would win $100. I was able to help promote this event by planning the event logistics, create a flyer, and post on Facebook. 

The Birth Place recently underwent major renovations to their unit. With the construction crews being close to wrapping up I was in charge of scheduling the open houses, creating flyers and coordinating the events with Graham Construction. 

On June 8, 2023, St. Anthony revealed the new dialysis unit that was moved from the 4th to the 1st floor of the hospital!  I attended the employee open house as well as the Chamber Coffee. I was able to take pictures of this event, create the event flyer and post the event on social media! 

The Chronic Care Center asked me to make a summer flyer that could be posted on Facebook!

On August 11, 2023, Sandi Cook was presented the DAISY Award. I created a press release that was sent out to area newspapers as well as creating a Facebook post. 

St. Anthony Hospice and WP Trucking have partnered together for the second year to host a Co-Ed Softball Tournament. Proceeds raised benefit St. Anthony Hospice. I was able to write a media advisory to help promote this event.
