SIM-IA partnership

In August 2025, I supported the Wellmark and SIM-IA partnership launch by drafting internal communications, press materials and social copy. I attended the event to capture photos, then pitched the release to targeted reporters with personalized, localized details.

Emerging Talent communications plan 

 I developed, executed and monitored the emerging talent communication plan for Talent Acquisition and Corporate Communications to use annually, promoting internships and positioning Wellmark as an employer of choice among high school and college students.

School-Centered Behavioral Health grant announcement

The Wellmark Foundation announced a $5 million School-Centered Behavioral Health Grant to address the growing mental and behavioral health crisis among Iowa’s youth. For this initiative, I supported the press release, developed internal content and created adaptable social content for recipients to share.

Internal communication

The creation of internal activations drives the engagement of Wellmark employees. Ways I helped drive engagement: BlueTV’s, intranet articles, auditing and sunsetting intranet pages.

External communications

To help transform the organization’s earned media outreach approach, I researched media contacts across Iowa and South Dakota. While also driving a more planful approach to organization activations, I supported hosting Community Collaborative meetings.

Grand Blue Mile​

Multi-channel and multi-audience activations for Grand Blue Mile drove internal and external engagement. Creation of external Instagram reels showcases those in the community.
